Bon Voyage π³π±
The ferry journey was very good, good food evening meal and morning breakfast. Room clean and comfortable which allowed us to get a good nights sleep. Insert pic
Arrival
Arrival at Amsterdam was on time but it took about 45 minutes to clear immigration. π€·πΌββοΈ
Here goes π£οΈ
So here was the real test for Eddy, we were off on a 275 mile 4hr 20 minute drive. The first 150 miles was a bit of a drag, dull a bit foggy and tiring because of the stress of being on strange and VERY BUSY roads, never seen so many articulated lorries. We were motoring on though, even overtook a passenger jet (it was taxi-ing along schiphol runway. ππ¬
Pit Stop ποΈ n Another Country π§πͺ
We stopped for a fuel/lunch stop at around 1pm, honestly about twenty minutes too late for Mrs ππππ¬. Oh goodness me, we almost had a hangry episode. ππ Weβd passed several decent looking establishments with βnormal outletsβ ie McDonaldβs Burger King etc but the driver decided to keep going until we needed fuel (1/2 empty)!! !!!Wrong again driver!!! Mrs went to the counter to see what was on the menu, her eyes lit up when she saw steak n chips. Mmm she said!! Alas though the lady hastened to advise the steak was finished. Like I said twenty minutes too late. πππ So then she orders the safe bet, spaghetti bolognaise. Then it came with cheese all over it. Cheese is like marmite to Mrs at times!!! We do love her though. ππππ
Off we go again. π£οΈ
Anyway, filled up with fuel β½οΈ and off we went. The 2nd half of the journey was much better. Weather cleared up, and actually the sun came out so on our way we were windows down the lot. We were happy like the driver in front. Donβt think heβll be as happy when his battery goes flat. ππ
Another Country ticked off π±πΊ
As we arrived in Luxembourg we decided to have a quick pit stop for food supplies. An excellent wee supermarket called Smatch, well stocked and just what we needed.
Home for the Night
It was a short ten minutes then to Camping Kockelscheuer the stop for the night (youβve to be careful how you say that). π
Check in and camp set up it was time for tea. Delicious it was too. Turkey kebab cooked on the Cob bbq n salad with fresh bread (and I mean fresh). Mmmmmm
Fed n watered. Then after a mr 300 mile journey quick check over of Eddy was called for. It revealed a minor running repair to the exhaust bandage. For some reason the metal retaining clips on one side had come adrift. Easy enough fixed though, we came prepared. π§πͺπ§°π©πππΌ
